Harry Bonehill made a 36-ball 46, which included five 4s and two 6s as Cheadle posted 145/7 off their 20 overs. Mick Moore batted through the chase to finish with 53*, which included three 4s and four 6s as he got good support from Josh Rhodes, who smashed a 23-ball 49 that included three 4s and five 6s as Silverdale raced to their target in just 11.3 to secure a comfortable 8-wicket victory.
Porthill vs Silverdale.
Tom Mason made 51 off just 36 balls, which included six 4s and one six, as he got Porthill off to a good start before George Cairns added 32 as they closed on 140/6 from their 20 overs. Mason then claimed 3/32 before Naill Redman made an unbeaten 36 to see his side to a 3-wicket victory with an over to spare and secured their passage to the next round.
Porthill vs Cheadle.
Matthew Degg made 38, and Ben Mellor added an unbeaten 31 as Cheadle could only make 104/7 from their 20 overs. Joe Price was the pick of the Porthill bowlers, finishing 4/20. Mason then blasted an unbeaten 78 off just 33 balls as he and Joe Bridgewater guided them to a 10-wicket victory in just 9.4 overs. Mason’s innings included six 4s and seven 6s as he just took the bowling apart in a brutal display of hitting.

Leycett vs Hanford.
Tom Warburton smashed 70 from just 44 balls as Leycett made 145/7 from their 20 overs. His innings contained eight 4s and one six, but he failed to receive any more support. Abid Hussain claimed 3/24 as he was the pick of the bowlers. Asim Altaf (58) and Aqeel Ahmed (53) added 125 in 16 overs for the 2nd wicket as it looked like Hanford were cruising to victory before they collapsed to 143/8 to lose by just 2 runs. Altaf struck five 4s and two 6s, and Ahmed six 4s and one six before Liam Bedson claimed a vital 3/10 to secure a narrow victory for his side.
Moddershall vs Leycett.
Richard Walker made 31 at the top for Leycett, but they could only muster 108/8 from their 20 overs as Alfie Womble claimed impressive figures of 4/10 to restrict them. Charlie Price then made an unbeaten 34 from 29 balls with three 4s to secure a five-wicket victory for Moddershall with just 1 ball to spare.
Moddershall vs Hanford.
Womble then continued his fine day with the ball as he took even better figures of 5/7 as Hanford were bowled all out for just 82. Womble had claimed impressive match-day figures of 9/17, which is truly remarkable. Oliver Holdcroft (40) from 21 balls and Rory Housley (32) off 16 balls, then secured a 10-wicket victory for Moddershall in just 6.1 overs. Holdcroft struck six 4s, and Housley hit two 4s and two 6s to secure Moddershall’s passage to the next round.

Crewe 1st XI 2 points.
Oakamoor 1st XI 1 point.
Meakins 2nd XI 0 points.
Meakins vs Crewe.
Rahul Nair made 37, which included four 4s and one six, before Faisal Mahmood added another 37 with two 4s and three 6s as they added 76 for the sixth wicket as Crewe made 158/8 off their 20 overs. Kaleb Baldwin claimed 3/32 before Zakariya Zaheer took 3/17.
Ryan Nolan then made 69 from just 57 with seven 4s and three 6s before he was dismissed. Tas Hussain then made an unbeaten 32*, but Meakins could only close on 130/6 to give Crewe victory by 28 runs.
Oakamoor vs Meakins.
Ahmad Khan blasted a sensational 111 from just 56 balls to get Oakmoor off to the perfect start. His innings contained nine 4s and nine 6s as he smashed the Meakins bowlers to smithereens. James Smith then added an unbeaten 55 from just 41 balls as Oakamoor pilled up a formidable 194/4 from their 20 overs. Smith’s innings contained three 4s and three 6s. Zaheer took 3/18, but he was unable to stop the carnage going on around him.
Meakins were then rolled out for just 68 as James Jackson took 4/4 before Harry Eccles claimed 3/22 to complete a crushing 126 run victory.
Oakamoor vs Crewe.
Sam Youds made 66* from 51 balls with four 4s and four 6s as Crewe reached 123/9 off their 20 overs. Jackson was again impressive as he claimed 4/31 to restrict the visitors.
Joe Avery then made a 49-ball 61, which included four 4s and three 6s, but some good bowling from Faisal Mahmood, who took 3/10, meant that Crewe secured a narrow 5-run victory and booked their place in the next round.

Wedgwood vs Congleton.
Jack Higginbotham made an aggressive 26 before Chris Barber added a late 24* as Congleton made 119/9 from their 20 overs. Aaron Tymczuk was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with 4/18.
Ben Dixon then made 33 from just 21 balls as Wedgwood secured a six-wicket victory with 8 balls to spare. Dixon struck seven 4s in his good innings.
Checkley vs Wedgwood.
Hugo Schroder made a 27-ball 48 with three 4s and three 6s as he got the Checkley innings off to a flying start. Lorcan Potts then added an unbeaten 55 from just 44 balls with one four and four 6s as Checkley posted a formidable 196/4 from their 20 overs.
Ben Dixon scored 49 off 34 balls to get Wedgwood off to a good start in their large chase. He struck five 4s and two 6s, but he didn’t receive any meaningful support as Wedgwood closed on 155/6 to give Checkley victory by 41 runs. Dan Amos claimed 3/32, including a hat-trick in the final over, as he was the pick of the bowlers.
Checkley vs Congleton.
Richard Williams made a 50-ball 77 with six 4s and three 6s as he got his side off to a good start. He added 66 with Schroder (22) for the second wicket as Checkley amassed 154/8 from their 20 overs. Higginbotham claimed 3/19, and Isaac Simcock supported him with 3/14 as the pair bowled impressively.
Higginbotham made 45 from just 34 balls with six 4s and one six as he added 46 with Lyndon Booth (29) for the second wicket before he added 47 with Barber (31*) for the 3rd wicket as the visitors looked on course for victory. But it was Amos who returned to claim 2 wickets in the final over to see his side to a narrow 3-run victory and book his side’s place in the next round. Amos finished with 3/16 as he was superb once again.

Endon vs Bignall End.
Leo Francisco made 36 from just 20 balls with five 4s and two 6s as he got his side off to a flying start. But wickets clattered after he fell, and Bignall End could only make 123/8 from their 20 overs.
Bilal Abbas then made a bruising 68 from just 39 balls with three 4s and seven 6s as he smashed his side to a 7-wicket victory in just 13.2 overs.
Sandbach vs Endon.
Regan Johnson struck 67 from 65 balls with eight boundaries as he added 55 with Finlay Spreadbury (16) for the 2nd wicket, but Sandbach could only manage 118/5 from their 20 overs as the Endon bowlers restricted them well.
Guy Tinwell made a run-a-ball 36 with two 6s as Endon started the chase well. Josh Tittensor then saw them over the line with an unbeaten 41 from 34 balls with four 4s as he secured Endon’s place in the next round with 11 balls to spare.
Sandbach vs Bignall End.
Spreadbury blasted a 34-ball 56 with two 4s and five 6s as he added 56 for the second wicket with Ben Collett (29). Jack Collett added a late 17-ball 28 as Sandbach closed on 162/4 from their 20 overs.
Jacob Maskrey made a run-a-ball 42 with six 4s and one six, but only Hamid Ali (33) with two 4s and three 6s could offer him any support as Bignall End were bowled all out for 119 with seven balls remaining to give Sandbach a 43-run victory. Johnson claimed 3/24 to give the home side a consolation victory.

Meir Heath vs Eccleshall.
Muhmmed Waseem made 38 from 41 balls with two 4s and two 6s as he added 90 with Aqib Ali for the 3rd wicket. Ali went on to blast a 45-ball 65 with eight 4s and three 6s as Meir Heath were bowled all out for 146 from the final ball of their 20 overs. Matthew Bailey finished with impressive figures of 4/25.
Tom Hibbert made 23 before Jack Armstrong added 31 with two 4s and a six as Eccleshall moved to 75/3 before Deklan Binnington was removed for a 19-ball 27 that sparked an Eccleshall collapse, and they were to finish 8 runs short of victory when they were bowled all out for 139 with 5 balls remaining.
Newcastle and Hartshill vs Meir Heath.
Jacob Maddock smashed a 28-ball 51 to help Castle recover from a poor start. His innings contained five 4s and one six as he dragged them 167/7 from their 20 overs. He added 65 with Richard Parkes for the 6th wicket. Parkes made only 10 of these as he played the supporting role. Meir Heath conceded 33 extras, which did not help their cause. Muhammad Raja claimed 3/19 to be the pick of the bowlers.
Waseem made 26 and Ali 24, but that was as good as it got for the visitors as Harry Ford claimed 4/19 to bowl them all out for 100 and give the home side a comfortable 67-run victory.
Newcastle and Hartshill vs Eccleshall.
Ethan Gater batted throughout for an unbeaten 61 from 54 balls as he anchored the home side’s innings. He struck five 4s and added 81 with Thenuka Angoda (40) for the 2nd wicket. Angoda also struck five 4s in his 30-ball innings. Gater then added an unbroken 34 with Maddock, who made a 13-ball 23* as Castle racked up an imposing 180/3 from their 20 overs.
Eccleshall were then bundled all out for just 60 in 11.1 overs as Castle secured their place in the next round with a crushing 120-run victory. Maddock rounded out a fine day when he claimed 3/10 before Zak Twist took 3/18.
The 6 sides that won their groups now advance to the second group stage, along with the 6 sides that received byes to make up four groups of three teams. The winners of the four groups will then advance to finals day.
