A 43 year old Sir James Anderson showed the county game that he isn’t done yet. Figures of 13-1-64-5 shows me that the King is back.

He began by having Northants number 3 Calvin Harrison caught by wicket keeper Matty Hurst, he then removed Vasconcelos’ off-stump with a beautiful inswinger delivered from around the wicket.
Saif Zaib was next to be fallen by the great man, caught at 3rd slip by Michael Jones, the ball just moved away enough from the edge of Zaibs’ bat when trying to drive Andersons outswinger to catch the edge and be well caught by Jones.
Two balls later James Sales was squared up by the Anderson inswinger and could only edge again to Jones at 3rd slip.
Andersons fifth wicket was that of Louis Kimber when he attempted to drive a full ball from Anderson that hit the inside edge and cannoned into the stumps.

Anderson showed great control as always and just reminded the England hierarchy of his skills. At the ripe old age of 43, this man is still capable of bowling at the highest level. There will no doubt be many more scalps if he remains fit; he may be older now but the action still remains sharp as does his hunger for wickets.
