Newcastle & Hartshill won the toss and elected to bat. Early wickets from Peter Finch and Umair Mushtaq reduced Castle to 58/4 before Vinnie Purcell made an unbeaten 33 from 29 balls with six fours. Matt Rogerson ran through the lower order to finish with 4/42 as the visitors were bowled out for 131. Mushtaq returned figures of 4/37, offering good support to Rogerson.
Craig Grimley made 31 at the top of the order for Blythe after the tea break. he struck seven fours in his innings before Castle began to fight back. Ben Fullwood was in the wickets, and the home side were rocking at 77/7 before Finch joined Mushtaq to put on a match-winning partnership. They added an unbeaten 55 to take the home side to their 4th consecutive victory. Mushtaq made an unbeaten 42 with eight boundaries, and Finch added 15* to see them home. Fullwood finished with excellent figures of 5/25 from 10 overs, but he didn’t get enough support with the ball.
Eccleshall 2nd XI vs Wedgwood.
Wedgwood won by 6 runs.
Eccleshall won the toss and elected to bowl. After 3 early wickets went down for the visitors, Ben Dixon made a superb 107 from 116 balls with fifteen fours and five sixes as he held the innings together. Ramzan Mohammed offered good support. He made 42 from 36 balls with seven fours and a six as the pair added 67 for the 5th wicket. Ade Lello added a further 38 with five boundaries as he went on to share 97 with Dixon for the 6th wicket before Wedgwood were bowled out for 267 in the 48th over. Jonathan Bramall took 3/21 as he was the pick of the bowlers for the home side. Deklan Binnington claimed 3/23 as he offered good support.
Dave Ecclestone made a brisk 47 from 40 balls with seven fours as the home side began their large chase in good fashion. His opening partner Harry Oliver added 41 with five boundaries as they shared 74 for the opening wicket. Zak Mosam made a 53-ball 55 which contained six fours and a six as their good start continued. Connor Beasley then made 53 with five fours and a six before an almighty collapse would set up a thrilling finish. The home side fell from 204/3 to 254/9 as Dixon claimed 2 of the wickets to fall alongside Leon Pedley. With just seven required for victory, Dixon bowled Matthew Bailey to secure a narrow victory for the visitors. Dixon finished with 3/41 from 10.3 as he put in a true man of the match performance for the visitors. Lello, Pedley and Marvin Kitamirike all took two wickets each to help secure the thrilling victory.
Elworth 2nd XI vs Sandbach.

Elworth won the toss and elected to bat. James Holt played a truly magnificent innings for the home side after they lost 3 early for just 34. Holt held the innings together with a fantastic 143* from 136 balls. His innings contained fourteen fours and six sixes as he dug them out of the early hole they found themselves in. He shared 67 for the 6th wicket with Andrew Zajac, who made only 8. Then an unbroken 76 with Maulik Bhalodiya (18*) as Elworth closed on 257/7 from their 50 overs. Gareth Lennon took 3/46 from 11 overs, and he was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors. Sean Manning and Jack Collett shared a further 4 wickets.
Lennon made a patient 64 from 120 balls at the top of the order for Sandbach after the tea break. He struck seven fours in his knock. Collett made 42 with seven boundaries before Finlay Spreadbury’s unbeaten 36 with six fours secured a draw for Sandbach as they closed on 207/6 from 52 overs. Kieran Allsop claimed 3/29 for the home side from 7 overs, but it was not enough to break the Sandbach resistance.
Meakins 2nd XI vs Moddershall 2nd XI.
Meakins won by 156 runs.
Meakins won the toss and elected to bat. Ben Bennett made a 25-ball 36 with 6 fours and two sixes as he got the home side off to a fast start. Tariq Mughal crashed 88 from just 61 balls with nine fours and seven sixes, as he put his foot down after a mini-collapse. Tas Hussain added an unbeaten 53, which contained eight fours and a six, before Meakins declared on 289/7 from 45 overs. Rory Housley took 3/22 and was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors.
Moddershall never got going after the tea break, and only an unbeaten 45 from Kamran Khan with four fours and three sixes got them up to 133 before they were bowled out. Hussain claimed 3/59 with his wily left-arm spin and was the pick of the bowlers for the home side. Zain Ul Abidin, Kaleb Baldwin and Oliver Radzins all took two wickets each to complete a comfortable victory for the home side.
Little Stoke vs Hanford.
Little Stoke won by 205 runs.
Little Stoke won the toss and elected to bat. Rob Spruce made a fine 86 at the top of the order for the home side. He struck thirteen fours and a six as he got them off to a good start. Jake Adams added a 39-ball 43 which included six fours and six as Little Stoke built on their good start. Spruce and Adams shared 76 for the 5th wicket before Tom Spruce added 24* before they declared on 250/9 in the final over. Faizal Parviaz claimed 4/46 from 9.3 overs as he was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors.
Hanford were blasted out for just 45 in 13 overs after the tea break by some fine seam bowling. Dan Colclough took 5/21 from 7 overs, and Shazad Liaqat took 5/23 from 6 to complete the rout.
Meir Heath vs Betley.
Meir Heath won by 134 runs.
Betley won the toss and elected to bowl. Aqib Ali struck a sublime 129* from just 90 balls with sixteen fours and seven sixes as he formed the backbone of the home side’s 271/8 declared from 48 overs. Muhammad Raja added 36 with four fours and three sixes as the pair shared 52 for the 5th wicket. Asim Ali made a late 27 as he shared 83 with Aqib Ali for the 7th wicket. Ben Mogg claimed 4/33 to be the pick of the bowlers for the visitors.
Jack Taylor made 32 at the top of the order for Betley with seven fours, but only Mogg, who made 28, could produce another score of note as they were bowled out for just 137 in reply to their large target. Asim Ali picked up 4/22 from 11 overs as he did the most damage with the ball. Mohammed Mukhtar claimed 3/23 to back up Ali as Meir Heath claimed a crushing victory.
