Ashcombe Park vs Rode Park & Lawton.

Rode Park & Lawton won the toss and elected to bowl. Chirag Khurana made a run-a-ball 74 for the home side, with thirteen fours as they got off to a good start. Joe Harrison then made a sparkling 109 not out from 120 balls with sixteen fours and two sixes, sharing 103 with Khurana for the 4th wicket as the runs began to flow at Basford Bridge Lane. Max Hill then added a run-a-ball 55 with six boundaries before they closed on 326/6 from their 55 overs.
Rode Park struggled after the tea break and only Jacob Mountford, who made 26, offered any resistance with the bat as they were bundled out for just 82. Khurana rounded off a fine afternoon by taking 6/25 from 8.5 overs. Riecko Parker Cole claimed 3/13, offering good support as Ashcombe Park completed a thumping victory.
Barlaston vs Hem Heath 2nd XI.
Barlaston won by 6 wickets.
Hem Heath won the toss and elected to bowl. Roshan Wijenayake struck a fine 92 from 139 balls with ten fours for the visitors. Nazakat Ali then added 50 with six fours before Hem Heath closed on 217/8 from their 55 overs. Rory Jones claimed 3/66 and Ethan Squire 3/60 as the home side restricted the visitors well.
Joe Beeston made 30 at the top of the order for the home side with six fours. His opening partner Michael Brocklehurst then made 43 from 58 balls with nine fours as they shared 71 for the 1st wicket. Ben Sharp added a 34-ball 36 with five fours and a six before Fida Hussain’s 54* with nine fours took Barlaston to a comfortable victory with 12.1 overs remaining.
Elworth vs Knypersley.
Elworth won by 5 wickets.
Elworth won the toss and elected to bowl. Ahsan Hafeez Bhatti struck a magnificent 96 from 95 balls with thirteen fours and six sixes as the visitors recovered from a poor start. Dom Cumberbatch added 28 before Knypersley closed on 225/9 from their 55 overs. Jarrod McKay was the pick of the home side’s bowlers, finishing with 3/42 from 13 overs. Alex Banks and Willoughby Happe shared 4 wickets between them for the home side.
Banks made 43 from 52 balls with seven fours as Elworth started well after the tea break. His opening partner Russ Ballard made a patient 54 from 115, containing ten fours as the home side’s good start continued. Daniel Cooper then made a fine 80* from 99 balls with eleven fours to see his side to victory with 13 balls remaining. Bhatti claimed 4/33 from 13 overs after tea, but he didn’t receive enough support with the ball, and Elworth took the points.
Norton-In-Hales vs Bagnall Norton.
Bagnall Norton won by 7 wickets.
Norton-In-Hales won the toss and elected to bat. An early burst from Scott Winnington with the new ball reduced the home side to 45/4 before Sajith Lama Hewage made 67 from 88 balls with eight fours as Norton-In-Hales were bowled out for 158 in the 45th over. Winnington claimed 3/41 from 12 overs and was excellent with the new ball. Cian Gibson snared 4/39 from 9 overs with his off-spin as the visitors gave themselves a good chance of victory.
Matt Arnold struck 54 from 76 balls with eight fours as the visitors started the chase well. Euan Hurst added 32 with five boundaries as the pair shared 78 for the 1st wicket. Hafiz Suleman then made a 39-ball 42* with eight fours to see Bagnall Norton to a comfortable victory. Ant Sheeran picked up a couple of wickets for the home side after the tea break.
Stone 2nd XI vs Alsager.
Alsager won by 6 wickets.
Stone won the toss and elected to bat. William Alsbury anchored the Stone innings with 66 from 119 balls with nine fours. Reuben Hall then made a 106-ball 74 with ten fours as Stone continued their good start. James Cope added a late 39* from 33 balls with four boundaries as Stone closed declared on 225/6 in the last over. Greg Phillips picked up two wickets for the visitors.
James Bloor started the chase well with 54 that contained nine fours. Muzammil Nizam then added 41 from 56 balls with seven fours before Kashif Bhatti and Waqas Hussain saw Alsager over the line with an unbroken partnership of 78. Bhatti struck 63* with seven fours and a six. Hussain finished with 35* from 46 balls with three fours and a six to secure the victory with 25 balls to spare.
Wood Lane vs Cheadle.
Cheadle won by 3 wickets.
Wood Lane won the toss and elected to bat. Martin Dawson smashed a blistering 56 from just 28 balls with ten fours and two sixes as the home side got off to a flying start. Ben McGuire added 41 with two fours and four sixes, but the home side were bowled out for 140 in the 37th over. Ryan Harvey claimed superb figures of 5/19 from 8.2 overs to instigate the collapse. James Sellers offered fine support with 3/36 as Cheadle pulled the game back well.
Ali Khan made a composed 50* from 45 balls with five fours and three sixes as Cheadle went about chasing their total down. A late burst of 3/23 from Rich Jervis wasn’t enough to stop the visitors from reaching their total in the 35th over. Rich Hassell offered good support with 2/50, but it wasn’t enough in the end.
